Open Memories, un kit per i progetti di archivio digitale

Open Memories is a training and project support path for the management and enrichment of digital archives by the Promemoria Group, which was made possible thanks to the TOCC-Capacity Building call for proposals.

5 live online meetings and 2 in-presence meetings in Turin designed for the demands of a select group of participants in the cultural and creative sectors. We shall deal with topics such as project management in culture, research and digitalization, the architecture of information, communication, and the promotion of a digital archive.

Ask the experts

  • What does it mean to guarantee interoperability?
  • Interoperability is a software’s ability to interact with other IT systems. The aim is to make the interaction, exchange, and reuse of information possible, even between two different IT systems.

As for the digital archive sector, interoperability means the possibility to migrate content through either the export or import of data.

  • I am afraid of losing my data. What are the best practices that I can implement to reduce this risk?
  • To make sure you don’t lose your data, you need to make sure you create a backup on at least three servers in three different geographic areas

to reduce the damage deriving from issues with one of the servers.
